Description
A black textured nylon handguard modeled after a production AK9/AK100 handguard. This handguard replaces both the wooden upper and lower handguard on your Type 81.
The handguard provides 1913 rail space at the 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions for grips, flashlights, etc.
Lower handguard installation is done by simply removing the original slotted head screw at the bottom of the wooden handguard to remove it, and replacing it with the AK74M type one. The lower handguard can be used standalone with the original wooden upper handguard if desired. The lower handguard is compatible with the T81 cleaning rod.
Upper handguard installation requires the user to remove three rivets in the upper handguard assembly to slide the wood out, the plastic is then installed and new rivets are installed. This tutorial shows the process for replacing the wood for any new upper handguard.
